The TOMGIRLZ are also about caring for community. Since there are some awesome chapter books written about me, I would like to share the joy of reading books with as many kids as possible. My community project is called BRINGING BOOKS TO LIFE FOR LITERACY.
I am available to visit children at their schools, libraries, or other organizations and share the TOMGIRLZ spirit with them. I will come with my creator (so they get an author visit as well as a character visit!), read a chapter from my favorite book, sign autographs, and perform my awesome acrobatic dance routine from TOMGIRLZ TALENT TROUBLES. If we have time, I'll even teach some salsa steps that I learned from my friend ANDEE. She's one of the TOMGIRLZ too and she's an awesome salsa dancer!!
I recently visited students at the Coral Springs Day School. Here I am with a student who brought her bearded dragon and other reptile friends like the animals from MACKEY MACK's BIRTHDAY ATTACK. I'm in my costume because I performed a salsa routine with my brother. Everybody was so nice to me! Someone even wanted me to go back to their class with them (of course I did)!!
